SUPERVISOR, LOCKS WATERFRONT GRILL/COLUMBIA GORGE STERNWHEELER - CASCADE LOCKS
Compensation: Non-Exempt, Full Time, Seasonal $12.00+ DOE
The Locks Waterfront Grill is the hub of our operation in Cascade Locks. It's the launch pad of activity where guests can purchase Sternwheeler cruises, buy espresso, order a knock-your-socks-off meal, and buy cool souvenirs to remember the day by. The Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler is a premier dining and sightseeing cruise celebration that sails the mighty Columbia during the Summer and Fall. We have logged over fifty thousand miles on that river, awed thousands upon thousands of guests, and we're out to wow more customers in the season ahead – with help from a talented Supervisor, of course.
We are looking for a hands on, team player who will own the job! In our family run business we roll up our sleeves and do what we need to in order to get the job done – Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler Style! In this position you will wear many hats in assisting the General Manager run our day-to-day operation during the Summer/Fall Season. After 2 months of training in our Portland office, your main focus will be to ensure customers walk away breathlessly happy! You will be responsible for supervising the work flow and staff in our Grill, Gift Shop and Customer Service Department right here in the fair and fabulous Cascade Locks Waterfront Grill.
Minimum of 6 months experience in the following skill-sets:
Supervising seasonal employees,
Superior personal and over the phone customer service,
POS Systems & cash balancing,
Open Systems Computer environment.
Food Handlers Card and OLCC Servers Permit required. Flexible schedule, with emphases on weekends, evenings and holidays. Seasonal, full-time February through October. Must pass pre-employment drug test.

BOOKKEEPING CLERK - SEASONAL
THE LOCKS GRILL AND COLUMBIA GORGE STERNWHEELER IS HIRING A SEASONAL BOOKKEEPING CLERK NOW! Training will be in our Portland Office for 6 weeks prior to the opening in Cascade Locks on May 1st. Responsible for receiving, processing and balancing payments. Responsible for general information regarding cruise schedules, services, prices and general boat inquiries including support for accounting and human resources. Must have experience in daily deposits, reconciliations, billing, petty cash reconciliation, charge-backs and maintaining accounting paperwork for the boats. Must have excellent customer service experience, effective communication skills, proficient in English and telephone etiquette, computer and Excel savvy, maintain confidentiality and most of all - be able to multi-task and be a team player!
