A wedding or reception celebration on the river is the ultimate in romance! Whether you want an intimate wedding with 20 guests and family members, or a grand celebration for 500, Portland Spirit fleet has the perfect setting for your special day! Here’s just one example:

Josh and Ann planned their wedding aboard the Portland Spirit on a Saturday afternoon in August. They had 125 guests total.

Since they wanted the ceremony onboard as well as the reception, and enough room for dancing, the Columbia Deck of the Portland Spirit provided the perfect venue.

To complete their nautical wedding, the Captain of the Portland Spirit performed their ceremony. Elizabeth Smith, the Portland Spirit Wedding Coordinator, worked closely with the bride to plan all aspects of the event.

Beth recommended that the Portland Spirit staff reset the chairs and tables during their receiving line to switch from theatre style seating for the ceremony to luncheon buffet seating for their reception.

For the luncheon, they selected a two-entrée buffet. Champagne punch was served and the newlyweds hosted beer and house wine for the afternoon event.

For a unique twist, Josh and Ann decided on Karaoke during the reception. With singing and dancing to the tunes from the Portland Spirit DJ, everyone had a blast.

It was a beautiful sunny day and on budget at $60.00 per person.
