The Trail Lewis & Clark (DVD)

$25.00

Using keel and flat boats, canoes, horses and their own foot power, explorers Lewis & Clark opened The West. This film authentically retraces that epic journey by carefully following their letters, field notes and journals.
The Trail - Lewis & Clark was filmed at the actual sites where Meriwether Lewis and William Clark made their preparations and journeyed into the history books, including Harpers Ferry, St. Charles, Ft. Mandan, Pompeys Pillar, Great Falls, Gates of the Rockies, Three Forks, Lemhi Pass, The Lolo Trail, Fort Clatsop and many, many more.
This wonderfully crafted film begins at Jefferson’s home of Monticello and takes us through the planning, provisioning and incredible journey up the Missouri River with Sacagawea guiding the explorers, over the Rockies and down the Snake and Columbia Rivers to the sea, surviving freezing temperatures and starvation.
This dramatic and beautiful film even features the works of great artists and sculptors of the West including Charles M. Russell, John Clymer and Bob Scriver. Four Indian tribes highlight the story where major incidents took place.
Filmmaker Robin D. Williams brings his careful research of the original diaries and maps of Lewis & Clark to the screen, photographing the West as the Corps of Discovery saw it. Discover the frontier as they did! Don’t be left behind! Join Lewis & Clark on an unforgettable journey across the American West!
