The Crystal Dolphin cruising near Ross Island

American Waterways Inc., local owners and operators of Portland Spirit and Willamette Star, purchased the Crystal Dolphin yacht November 24, 1998. Included in the acquisition was the company's
ramp and docking facility which has since been relocated to Caruthers Landing, our mooring and maintenance facility located in front of our offices on the river at 110 SE Caruthers. |
The Crystal Dolphin recently underwent an extensive remodel, modifying and upgrading the three interior decks. Our capacity allows for 50 guests for a seated meal and 120 guests for a reception-type event. A custom-designed galley staffed by our talented chefs handles onboard meal preparation.
The Crystal Dolphin, the third vessel in the company's growing fleet, was built in 1990 by Aluminum Boats of Jean Lafitte, Louisiana and is powered by twin 500 HP Catepillar diesel engines. Two Isuzu diesel generators provide electricity. |
The vessel can reach speeds of 14 knots, and has a gross tonnage of 91 tons. The vessel's hull and superstructure are constructed of aluminum.
The Crystal Dolphin is United States Coast Guard certified and inspected. The vessel is 84' long including the swim platform at the stern. The beam is 24', and the vessel drafts 4 1/2'.
The vessel has four decks, three of which are fully enclosed and climate controlled. From the "Second Deck", you can access the Captains' Bridge which we invite you to visit while the vessel is under way.

We have a baby grand piano and a high-quality digital audio system including a public address system that allows announcements to be heard on all interior and exterior decks.
